[By Koh Dong-Hyun, Medical Today] The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization announced on the 10th that Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic was selected as a cooperative medical institution to create Seoul as a sustainable medical tourism city.
The Seoul Medical Tourism Cooperation Alliance was selected by combining the scores of the first quantitative evaluation, second qualitative evaluation, and third on-site evaluation to finalize the selection after a comprehensive evaluation of the institution's environment for accepting overseas medical tourists, the status of domestic and foreign implementation, and plans for the inducement of medical tourists. The selected medical institutions will cooperate with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to strengthen the competitiveness of Seoul medical tourism for three years from 2022 to 2024.
Officially opening in 2018, Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic specializes in teeth whitening, laminate, resin treatment, and implant treatment that foreigners are particularly interested in. Additionally, Medical services were given directly in English by the dentist instead of going through a translator, and hiring an overseas dental student of Korean descent as a receptionist was also provided for foreigners residing in Korea, as well as for Korean residents from abroad, led to receiving decent reviews
for providing medical services
Bae Ji Eun, chief director of Yonsei Yegam Dental Clinic, said, “I am glad that foreign patients also recognized our efforts in providing medical services. As a certified medical institution in Seoul, we will continue to provide adequate medical service and treatment that adheres to domestic and foreign patients."
